The Norwegian 5-piece MORTAL LOVE was established in early 2000 by the still unchanged line-up Cat, Rain6, Lev, Gabriah and Damous. The band focused on a good structure, delegating tasks and define roles. From the start important elements in MORTAL LOVE was availability, mystique and romance, having female singer CAT being the optical focus in the band, which is well appreciated by all bandmemebers. Already with their first 8-track demo CD the band composed a complete lovestory, a way of work that the band kept also on their debut album now. With the demo CD a deal with Massacre Records was signed and the recordings for the official debut could begin. As the demo, "ALL THE BEAUTY" was recorded with producer ZET at Space Valley studio in Norway and is delivered as a conceptual album again. The first impression in MORTAL LOVE's music is undoubtelly singer CAT, whose beautiful, sweet vocals set their signs in the songs. Well-plced keyboards and groovy guita r riffing build the basement for charming melancholic songs like "All the Beauty", "Crave your Love" or "Mortally Beloved". It is hard to pick songs as they are all parts of the complete concept, creating the mood of the album. With the crystal-clear sound the dark mood occurs, which Norwegian bands are famous for. Nevertheless MORTAL LOVE are not copying any of the well-known forerunners but deliver an album with their own feeling and interpretation. "ALL THE BEAUTY" is an album for music-lovers, for both Gothic and Metal-fans!
