Mournful was a death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, that was active in the early 1990's. At first they were known under the name Metempsychosis and under that name they recorded one demo. They then changed their name to Mournful and recorded yet another demo that received very good reviews, among others in the respected Swedish Close-Up Magazine. They played a lot of shows together with Berserk but then split up.
