In February of 2000 Russ Crossman, Ryan Hall, and Tony
Cosgrove formed Decapitator. We eventually changed it to Mutilated, and kept
writing songs. We had no singer so we just wrote the music and
lyrics... We did record a demo that had 8 songs, 3 with no vocals!! ...That was
pretty funny, but people still liked it!!! In January of 2001 Justin
Emery joined the band. In September of 2001 we got to play our first
show, opening for Mortician and Exhumed. There was a very positive
response, a lot of people took a liking to what we were doin. We recorded a
four song demo soon after and started selling them for $5... After the
Ohio Death Fest in April of 2002 we got to open for Internal
Suffering/Leukorrhea/Beheaded and Saprogenic.. That was a crazy show!!! Forever
Underground signed us a short time after that. We recorded " Devirginated
Genital Pulp" at Studio One in Racine, WI in December of 2002. Tony left
the band, was followed by Zach Gibson. February of 2003 "Devirg!
inated Genital Pulp" hit store shelves worldwide. Tony Cosgrove has
since rejoined the band as of July 2004.
