New Religion was reportedly a New Orleans based thrash metal band that was active between 1989 and 1992. The band members were later to be found in well known acts such as Graveyard Rodeo and Soilent Green. Bass player Scott Williams was killed on the night of Monday, April 26th, 2004, in an apparent murder-suicide after a fight with his roommate.
