The Trollhättan based modern thrash metal act Nme Within was given birth to in 1994 as a man named Jonas Andersson Beijer recorded backing vocals on the Rat Salad album "The Golden Playground" at the Skylight Studio in Eskilstuna. He was offered a solo deal with Dolphin Records which he accepted. The resulting mini album "Son Of A Gun" was released in early 1995 but due to the absence of proper promotion of the album the band parted ways with the label on not so friendly terms.
In 1995 the band went out on tour with Morgana Lefay and Colorblind. A new line-up was assembled for the recordings of "In Bloom" for the Tribute Records album "A Tribute To Nirvana". In 1996 the band secured a new record contract with a small label called Dzynamite Records (founded by one-time Rednex guitarist Andy Kentucky to release his side project Explode; the label later went bankrupt) who released their one and only full-length album. This album featured guest vocals from Håkan Hemlin of the successful chart hitting folk band Nordman as well as former B-thong vocalist Tony Jelencovic.
