The Nuns was a punk rock band from California that formed in the early or mid 70s by Jeff Olener. In 1975 he was joined by female front woman and keyboard player Jennifer Miro who was previously with a band who rehearsed in the same building. They released a self-titled album before dissolving in the early 80s after having been surrounded by drugs and violence for some time. Jennifer Miro moved to New York, fleeing from their guitarist who was obsessively in love with her and tried to strangle her. There she later on re-formed the band which has now developed into an S&M oriented synth pop / disco rock band and has relocated to the club scene in New York. One of the former guitarists later on joined Keanu Reeves in his band Dogstar. Jennifer Miro does a lot of modeling and even acting and lives off a large inheritance. Alejandro Escovedo later on pursued a career in country music.
