Band biography

The San Diego based heavy rock / metal band P.O.D. was formed in 1992 by guitarist Marcos Curiel, drummer Wuv and vocalist Sonny. They made their Christian beliefs no secret and their band logo is a triptyche device for the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. Their debut gig was done opening for Face To Face and the second one was at a New Year's Eve party supporting Green Day.

After having released several successful albums on their own label Rescue Records they won the attention of major label Atlantic Records with which they signed a contract.
