PANTHEON I is easiest described as an extreme metal band. We
are based in Oslo, Norway. The band was started in late 2001 by Eirik
Renton, John Espen Sagstad and Andrè Kvebek. We recorded a demo (DEMO
MMIII) including 4 tracks last year (April 2003).We did this recording in
our own home-recording studio. We received help from Sareeta (Ram-Zet
and Åsmegin) on violin and Silje on cello on the recording. This gave
PANTHEON I a new and improved sound, so we decided to incorporate this in
to our music. DEMO MMIII has only been used as a promo and has been
shipped around to internet-zines, magazines, etc. We have received many
good reviews and gained a lot of attention with this recording.We
recorded and mixed 2 new songs in December 2003/Januray 2004 and they will
soon be released on 7” vinyl. Sareeta helped us out on this recording to,
and so did Anna on cello.In February 2004, PANTHEON I gained 2 new
members Gunhild Mathea Olaussen on violin and Live Julianne Kostøl !
on cello. Tor Risdal Stavenes joined shortly after as our
bass-player. At this moment we have 13 self-made songs, and many more
are on their way! So we have sufficient material for a full-length
album, which we hope to record and release soon!
In April 2005 the band signed a deal with the Japanese label World Chaos Production.
