By 1992 we wanted to focus only on our own music and Tor Arne Helgesen was replaced by the former Anthem drummer, Jehmod.
After Jehmod joined, we had our ”first” live appearance at Klubb Perdido in Stjørdal with the bands Divorce and Nephrite.
In april 1993 we recorded our first demo, which was released in december same year. In the time between the recording and the release the second guitarist, Ymon, joined Perished, this resulted in a rehearsal recording which also was featured on the IHSV demo.
Our second demo was released in february 1994. and brought Perished from the traditional death metal genre to even more extreme musical expressions.
In may 1994 we travelled to Mo i Rana to play a gig on ”Gruben” with Nomad Nipples and Ur. A few months later Tyr was fired from Perished.
After negotiating offers from different Record labels we signed with the german label Solistitium Records for one 7” and one full length album. The 7” was recorded in may ´96. It contained two tracks and was untitled. After this recording we decided that we needed both another guitarist and a synthplayer. This resulted in Ihizahg and Kunt Pelthor being recruited as session members.
After working on the material for Kark for a long time, with Ihizahg and Kunt participating, we went into studio in october ´97 and recorded Kark in 3 weeks. The releasefeast was held at Veita Scene with Frost, also from Trondheim, as support.
After the release of Kark we concentrated on composing new material. Ihizahg and Kunt Pelthor was now sworn in as full members of Perished. Both Ymon and Bahtyr moved to Stavanger for some years but tried to participate on rehersals. In this period Perished signed a contract with Apocalyptic Empire records for one EP only. The EP, Grim, was recorded in august 2000.
In August 2001 we performed at The Hole in the sky (metal festival in Bergen with bands as Destruction and Paul DiAnno (The original Iron Maiden vocalist) and shortly after at Blue Garden in Trondheim with Myriads (Stavanger) and Apparatus (Trondheim).
In february 2002 we went to Rena to shoot our first video. Hellmaker Productions are responsible for this fiendish plot. Extremely low budget but all the more fun.
May 2002: we've now signed a contract for 3 years/2 albums with Displeased Records (nl). The first release will be out dec. 2002/jan. 2003.
