The German thrash metal band Phalanx was formed in 1986. Following a 1991 demo tape entitled "Towards The Pearly Gates" they signed with D&S Records. Two albums were released, the second one featuring a cover of Metallica's hit song "Enter Sandman", ignorantly miscredited as "Sandman".
