Pictures of Gabriel began in 2000 with two former guitarists of piecemeal, a singer with no noteable past vocal history, a drummer who played for a number of bands including Holdstrong from Western Mass and 2D, and bassist rich from groundzero. Together for about a year and a half, Pictures of Gabriel were slated to release a full length album on the newly created record label Deathwish Inc. However, due to "artistic differences", band members parted ways. All they released was a demo recorded with Kurt from Converge at Godcity, two songs from which were released on a Deathwish, Bridge 9, Thorp Records sampler CD. Band members went on to form November 5th 1955. As well as:
Bury Your Dead, Burn Your Wishes (including members of Unearth) and Kobe.
