Post Mortem was an American thrash metal band that formed in 1982 as a hardcore punk band. In 1985 some new members joined the band and they became a metal band. They appeared on the "Speed Metal Hell 2" compilation from New Renaissance Records in 1986 with the track "Ready To Die" and also released their debut album the same year. They released a final album called "Destined For Failure" in 1993 before splitting up. The band did a miserable tour in January 1991 where they were supposed to have been supported by a Yugoslavian band called Patareni but they were not allowed to leave their country.
