After exploding onto the Australian metal scene in 1992, Psychrist have forged their name as extreme music enthusiasts. The orginal lineup, featuring members of old thrash legends Nemesis (Canberra) and Addictive (Sydney), recorded a four song demo and played support to Morbid Angel, all within the first year of playing live, such was the local interest. With Yuri Ward, Guitar and Backup Vocals, Dan Marsden, Bass and Matt Coffey, Drums and Vocals the trio began playing a mix of new material and extreme death covers.
