The Mexican death metal band Pyphomgertum was formed in March 1992. After a couple of demo recordings they released a split cd with the respected Swedish black / death metal band Dawn on Bellphegot Records in 1994. In early 1999 the band was going to record their second full-length album with only drummer Jorge Rubio remaining from the original line-up and with Antimo Buonanno as session vocalist but they split up. Eduardo and Antimo decided to finish the album but under a different concept and band name, resulting in the creation of Bloodreaping.
