The American hard rock band Quiet Riot originally formed in 1975 in Los Angeles, California. Numerous line-up changes took place over the years until the band was officially disbanded on September 19th, 2003. Original bass player Kelly Garni played with Randy Rhoads' brother Kelle's band Emerald in 1985. In 1981 guitar genious Randy Rhoads left the band for good to concentrate on Ozzy Osbourne and at about that time the band briefly split up. Vocalist and band co-founder Kevin DuBrow remained in Los Angeles though and formed a new band simply called Dubrow. When Randy Rhoads tragically died in 1982 Dubrow became Quiet Riot once again. Back on the road with Quiet Riot after a reunion in 1993 DuBrow suffered a personal setback when it was claimed that he threw an audience member off the stage into the crowd breaking a Susan Hawkins leg. A judgement went against the singer who was ordered to pay $105,000 in damages. One-time bass player Kenny Hillery committed suicide in 1996. After an 18 months long break the band returned with a new line-up in early October 2004. Further changes took place in late 2005 as former L.A. Guns and Brides Of Destruction member Tracii Guns joined the fold.
