Band biography

Raven was one of the very first British heavy metal bands and originally came to life in Newcastle in 1975. At first they only played covers from bands like Deep Purple and Status Quo. In 1980 they signed with the independent label Neat Records. Their first albums are by many regarded as metal classics while the later releases have not reached the same success. The band has had the same line-up for most of their long career.
