Band biography

The American band Revelation is a well-known band in doom metal circles and began life in May of 1986. They recorded several demo tapes before releasing their debut album "Salvation's Answer" through Rise Above Records, run by Lee Dorrian of Cathedral. For their second album they switched to the German based Hellhound Records. In May 1995 they went on a European tour together with Saint Vitus and Solitude Aeternus. In late 1996 they recorded a four track demo tape (their old label Hellhound had closed its doors the previous year) but in the same year the band broke up. In mid 2002 Revelation reformed with a brand new line-up.
