Rob Rock's recording career began with the 1986
worldwide release of M.A.R.S. 'Project: DRIVER' album on Shrapnel Records.
The album featured stellar performances by debut vocalist Rob Rock,
guitar virtuoso Tony MacAlpine, and the brilliant rhythm section of Ozzy
Osbourne's 'Blizzard of Oz' band; Rudy Sarzo on bass and Tommy Aldridge on
drums. This album created a huge cult following all over the metal
world and still stands as the metal masterpiece of the 80's.
After Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge moved on to the Whitesnake '87
videos and tours, MacAlpine went back to his solo career and Rock continued
to release numerous recordings with guitar masters Chris Impellitteri,
Roy Z, Axel Rudi Pell, Joshua Perahia and Dennis Cameron.
After 6 albums and 3 world tours with the group Impellitteri in the
90's, Rock has recorded and released his debut solo album with JVC/Victor
(Asia), Massacre Records (Europe) and the RRM Label (USA), Rock is set
to tour Europe with his new band later this year with US and Asia dates
to follow.
This highly acclaimed album, called 'Rage of Creation' was produced by
today's hottest metal producer ROY Z, who has revived the solo careers
of Bruce Dickinson, with the albums 'Chemical Wedding' and 'Accident of
Birth' (which lead to the Iron Maiden re-union), and Rob Halford (Judas
Priest vocalist) whose new album 'Resurrection' has recently charted in
Billboard. Roy has also produced the newly released Helloween album;
'The Dark Ride'.
Rage of Creation is receiving rave reviews and strong reaction from the
industry as we anticipate the release throughout the world via
traditional outlets and the Internet.
The songs were written by Rob Rock and Roy Z and the album includes a
fantastic cover of the ABBA hit song 'Eagle'(performed in the vein of
Black Sabbath's 'Heaven and Hell) and special guest appearances by
guitarist Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne/Badlands).
The album has been described as a new hybrid of fresh 'real' metal with
shades of classic Iron maiden, Judas Priest and early Dio.
