Band biography

The American death / gothic metal band Royal Anguish was formed in Boca Raton, Florida, in 1991, but split up 1995. The band was resurrected in Ocala, Florida, in 1997. In early June 2005 they signed a contract with the Dutch label Fear Dark. During their first period of existence (1991-1995) they marketed themselves as a Christian band but since their reformation they have marketed themselves only as an extreme metal band.
