Band biography
Sabbat photo
Sabbat is probably the most famous British thrash metal bands ever and was formed in 1986. They quickly recorded a demo tape entitled "Fragments Of A Time Forgotten" before signing a record deal with Noise Records. The band released a couple of very good albums but their final release in 1991 lacked a lot of the things that made their first albums unique and the band broke up in the middle of their tour following shortly upon the release of the album. Martin Walkyier went on to form Skyclad and Andy Sneap became a famous producer. In 2001 Martin Walkyier reformed the band under the new name Return To The Sabbat with former members Frazer Craske and Simon Jones. Not to be mixed up with the Japanese black / death metal band with the same name.
