Sacriversum was founded in spring 1992 by Herszt (guitars), Slepy (drums) and Remo (bass, voc.), known from Dead Evil or Pandemonium. Their first 4-piece demo tape "Dreams Of Destiny" was recorded the same year and soon released by Carnage Rec. With first interview and gigs new ideas came, concerning the band's style and extending their line-up. Soon Krzysiek "Baran" Baranowicz (keyboards) joined the band and Sacriversum started to work on their first material; they also played some gigs. Their debut "The Shadow Of The Golden Fire" was released by Baron Rec. in November '94. Soon after Sacriversum played two gigs supporting Tiamat and Sentenced. In 1995 line-up changes started - Burger (ex-Tenebris) replaced Baran and soon new guitarist Mario joined the band. Sunrise took Herszt's place. Also, Sacriversum music evolved - the band turned to a more gothic metal style. Female singer Alexandra appeared. Demo/reh material for the new album was sent out to labels in the end of 1996. Morbid Noizz took interest in it and already in May the band entered the studio. "Soteria" (first CD in their discography) was out in fall '97 (Last Episoe / Serenades released the material in Europe). Sacriversum played two mini-tours (with Aion and Artrosis and later with Lux Occulta and Damnation); they also played a couple of single gigs, with eg. Vader. After one of these tours Slepy and Alexandra left the band. Zombie became the new drummer and Kate took over the microphone. "Soteria" was received very well abroad and got many positive reviews. But the band had to suspend their musical activities for almost two years, due to financial problems and troubles with Morbid Noizz and Last Episode. In the meantime, their new material "Beckettia" (recorded in October '99) was waiting for its release. Eventually, it was out in August 2000. Soon after that Annie replaced Burger and in November 2001 - January 2002 MacKozer took Sunrise's position. In the beginning of 2003 Kruku, young and talented drummer joined the band and Sacriversum signed a long-term deal with Metal Mind Productions.
