Band biography

SANCTIFICATION was spawned in the summer of 2001 by members from the late DIVINE DESECRATION (R.I.P) and the drummer from CHASTISEMENT. Leadguitarist Daniel left the band the fall -01 to strengthen the troops of AEON.

A demo was recorded in november -01 whit only Tomas, Molle and Nils. Shortly after the demo was recorded a new bass guitarist joined the band, Peter Jönsson.

In the spring -02 they unleashed their wrath for the frist time, the battlefield was the Old Courthouse in Östersund. The original bass player could not play because of personal reasons, so he was replaced by axwielder Jörgen Bylander. He has played in bands like DEFACED CREATION and DERANGED. after that show he became a fulltime member. The execution squad was e man short so original guitarist Daniel Dilimi enter the stage for that gig.
