Band biography
Sarcófago photo
Sarcófago were one of the first and most successful death / black metal bands on the South American continent. They formed in 1985 and more or less became a cult band among fans of extreme metal and have inspired countless bands all over the world ever since. They signed a record deal with Cogumelo Records, the label who also discovered Sepultura. In Europe their albums were released by Music For Nations. After several years of silence they are apparently back on the scene again.
