Seven Angels was created in Brazil during the year 2000 by the guitarist of the band, Karím Serri and the vocalist Débora Serri. "The idea was born from an old dream that we wanted to create a band that would play a music style we`ve always been in love with." and that style is good melodic power metal.
The band begain slowly and other members started joining through 2001. First Eliezer came in on drums and the band was able to practice. This bands formation lasted for three months and they managed to put togeather a few songs. Before Ricardo joined the band, Seven Angels were deciding to record their demo CD. They put togeather a CD with 10 songs and then they began a small tour. The response to the demo CD was very good. Many people liked the bands melodic power metal style.
The band was considered unique due to having a female vocalist and the band wanted a female vocalist because they wanted to reflect the bands personality as original and unique. In August 2002 Seven Angels was invited to submit a song on the "Brazilian Collection 2", done by a magazine called Metal Mission. During 2002, the band prepared to record their first CD which was released in November 2002.
During August 2002, the band opened for Nightwish in a concert with about 3000 people, and for Shaman with a crowd of over 1500, on the 30th of August. Also the band took part in the Tribute to Stryper, on the 24th of August at the Led Slay in São Paulo. On the 20th of September the band opened for Seventh Avenue, a German power metal band, at the Direct TV in São Paulo.
The band also took part in a project called Exodo (Exodus - a cd which will put the book of Exodus in to music), along with 12 other 12 Christian bandswaiting on bio.
The CD "To know God" was an excellent "debut". The line up for the album was Débora Serri (Vocals), Karím Serri(Guitar), Rafael Friesen(Keys), Ricardo Bagatelli (Bass) and Eliezer Leite (Drums). It was a Power Metal setting CD with Debora's voice, show great compassion.
The bands second release was called "The Second Floor". This album showed the real bands potential, and it has much more better music quality. The Second Floor is heavier and more progressive.
In December 2005 the band signed a contract with Bombworks Records for a US release of "Faceless Man".
