Slumber was formed by members of the Swedish black metal band Mornaland as their guitarist Tommy Öberg, who wrote most of the music for the band, tormented the other band members with a lot of jazz / pop / funk things while rehearsing. People heard their music and they were asked to participate at an event called Bjurhovdadagen.
