Summer 1994 Snot is formed in Santa Barbara, CA. This original lineup featured Mike Doling (formerly of Kronix) on guitar, Lynn Strait (former bassist of Lethal Dose) on vocals, Brent on drums, and Ruben on bass. The band played keg parties throughout the summer.

April 14, 1995. Easter. Lynn Strait calls Sonny Mayo at his Mom's house in D.C, in an effort to recruit him into the then fledgling Snot.. Lynn says " I'm looking for Metal" Sonny replies "You called the right place."
