They started chatting and suddenly Jonas got the idea of starting a band.
Mattias agreed immediately, since he'd wanted som kind of group to play with.
The two started brainstorming about the band and what it would be about.
"What kind of music do you wanna play?",
"Who will do what?",
"Do we have a rehearsal room somewhere to make use of?"
"Who will do the drumming".
The first name, for the last question, they came up with was Jonas' brother David who also was with them in town. He said yes, but not permanent. He wanted to be just a sessiondrummer that they could use in the studio and maybe, maybe live sometime... (if they're ever going to do a live-show...).
The following Sunday Mattias went home to Jonas with his acoustic guitar as a backpack.
They started collaborating and transform the living room into a rehearsal room.
Jonas took out his guitar, amp and effect-pedal and plugged it in, choosed a nice, disted sound and played a riff taken from the air.
And there they were.
After some time of playing spontaneously Jonas came up with a riff that blew Mattias away.
It was great! And they started building a song on that riff, using a acoustic intro that Mattias by half had come up with the day before at his classmate Henriks' home.
They also started discuss lyrics and they wrote down the refrain and the first half of the first verse as they sat.
Yes, this was how it began...
