The American death metal band Strangulation was formed under the original monicker Stigmata in 1991. They changed their name as they were joined by Diego Sanchez who went to high school with Travis Ryan. Travis was kicked out and Diego and Ben tried doing stuff for a little whilte before it fell apart in 1994 and they both joined Disgorge.
