In late March 2005 it was announced that former Annihilator members Randy Rampage and Ray Hartmann had joined forces with bassist Stu Carruthers (Grip Inc.), guitarist Ash Blue (Strapping Young Lad) and guitaris / vocalist Kick (Vertical After) in a brand new formation baptized Stress Factor 9. Their music was described, not un-ambitiously, as "catchy, memorable punk-metal-urban ditties with big anthemic sing-along choruses". A European tour was planned for the summer.
