Subliritum was formed back in 1999. At that time Subliritum was more or less just a project. The band consisted of J. Moen (Arcan)-Guitar,Grim Vocal and K.Moen (Celtus)-Bass,drums and synth. Both had played in different metal-bands in the past, like Hinn Mesta (Brutal black metal) and Eyrashion (Dark Metal).
After some months with intense rehearsal the the band entered studio to record their first demo :The Chemical Bastard-ep. This demo contained two long epical black metal songs and a outro. The music got very good critics because of its expression: "It's ambitious, progressive, brutal and symphonic at the same time".
The band signed a contract with Evil Horde Records, and started to work on the debut-album. At that time some new members entered the band: Torbjørn Schei (Vocal) and Sverre Berntsen (Guitar). Both had played in Celtus previous band Eyrashion. Tora Næss (female vocal, and violin) also joined the band.
Subliritums debut-album "Dark Prophecies" was recorded in 2001. The music can be described as Epical, symphonic black metal with some progressive elements.
In 2002 Vegar Larsen (Keep of Kalessin) joined the band, and Subliritum are working with new material.
Until now the band have not played much live, but this situation are about to change.
