While still being a member of TKO, Brad Sinsel had a small demo budget from Combat Records to record some new material of his. He approached guitarist Rick Pierce of Q5 who joined him in the project. Four songs were recorded in a small studio during the course of two or three days together with later to be big-time producer Jack Endino. In the end Combat wasn't interested in the songs but Rick sent the demo to Martin Hooker at Music For Nations who wanted to release it. The name Suicide Squad was chosen for the band, taken from one of Rick's war books. They only released one EP since they could not commit to a full-length album due to obligations to their other bands.
