Systematic is a metal band from the San Francisco bay area that formed in 1996 when Tim Narducci and Adam Ruppel met and began writing songs together. They came to attention as one of the bands who signed to Lars Ulrich of Metallica's short-lived attempt at creating a record label entitled The Music Company. Eventually they ended up signing with Metallica's label Elektra instead (The Music Company was actually an Elektra inprint). In December 2003 they were dropped by Elektra after two albums for the label. On April 19th, 2004, it was officially announced that the band had split up.
