The Irish blues rock band Taste was born in 1965, initiated by former The Fontanas and Impact member Rory Gallagher (at that time only 16 years of age). Several line-up changes took place in the early years before Gallagher relocated to London where he secured a record deal with Polydor Records. After having released an album as Taste, Gallagher ventured forth on his own, launching a highly successful solo career and selling more than 30 million albums.
