TERRA FIRMA was formed by Freddie Eugene and Lord Chritus in the early 90's as a side-project to their bands Unleashed (Freddie E.) and S:t Vitus (Lord Chritus) After a tour with his band Unleashed and Chritus had left S:t Vitus, they teamed up with bassplayer Nico Moosebeach (Albatross) and the drummer Izmo Ledderfejs for a permanemt band vision in late 1995.
IN JUNE -96 Terra Firma recorded their first demo "Rock´n Roll Superiour" which was promptly released by Freedoom Records on a limited 7 inch.
IN NOVEMBER the same year Terra Firma recorded their second demotape which included 6 songs. The song "Fifth Wheel" from that session can be found on the split 7" with the swedish band Godscent. The 7" was released in 1998 by Clear Blue Sky Records.
DURING TWO sleepless nights in their rehearsal studio july -97 Terra Firma recorded a Trouble cover and 5 of their own songs. The Trouble song is later released on a tribute album by Freedoom Records.
IN DECEMBER 1997 Terra Firma hit Das Boot Studios an recorded their first fullenght album named "Terra Firma" but wasn't released until 1999. In Europe by Steam Hammer, in the USA by Music Cartel and in Japan.
IN DECEMBER 1998 Terra Firma recorded a jazz oriented coverversion of Motorhead's classic song "Bomber". Its possible to hear the song on the Motorhead tribute CD.
IN JANUARY 1999 Terra Firma hit the european roads for the first time. Together with Cathedral and Orange Goblin. They toured England, Scottland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, italy and France...
In September 2003 it was announced that the band had split up with Freddie and Izmo launching a new project in a similar style.
