The Defaced was formed around 1994 when Henrik Sjöwall was singing in a band called Cul De Zac which also included Ola from Soilwork. They were about to record a demo tape and in the studio Klas Ideberg was working. A few months later Henrik was kicked out from the band and together with Klas they formed The Defaced. In September 2000 they signed a deal with the Italian label Scarlet Records.
