In June 2005 bassist / vocalist Jason Blachowicz went separate ways with fellow Divine Empire band mates J.P. Soars and Duane Timlin. After having fought over the band name, Soars and Timlin decided it was a lost cause and continued under the adjusted name Thy Divine Empire together with former Broken Hope / Em Sinfonia member Sean Baxter.
