Todesbonden, founded by Laurie Ann Haus (Autumn Tears, Ephemeral Sun, ex-Rain Fell Within, ex-Garden of Shadows, Ol Sonuf, Anomalous Feather), is a doom, atmospheric, metal, Renaissance, and Classical influenced project taking the listener on a fantastic musical journey of fantasy, longing, and time long past.
Using a mix of catchy trance enducing melodies, interwoven soft melodic piano, emotional vocals, paired with heavy, deep, and classical guitar work and paired with soaring violins, Todesbonden attempts to create a sound to touch the inner heart and soul of every listener.
Drawing on her classical/renaissance training, Laurie mixes ancient influences with modern sounds to create original compositions such as "Sun and Venus" and reinterpret traditional Renaissance songs such as "Flow My Tears" and "Sorrow Stay", by Dowland.
Joining her ideas with Jason A. Wood (Ol Sonuf, ex-Ephemeral Sun, Ex-Rain Fell Within), for programming and guitars, and Patrick Geddes (The Groaning), violins, the final result is Todesbonden.
Todesbonden is currently writing music for their upcoming full length release expected in August '05 and is currently recruiting full time/session musicians for recording and live. If interested in being a musical part of Todesbonden feel free to email them at band@todesbonden.com.
