Band biography
Unorthodox photo
Unorthodox were one of the many Maryland based doom metal bands in the early 90's. They were originally formed around 1990 under the name Asylum but since there was another band with that name they changed to Unorthodox for the release of their debut album in 1993. Soon after the release of their second album in 1995 their label Hellhound Records closed its doors and the band was dormant for some time. In early 2000 the band was revived once again and have been playing live in the Washington DC area. In early 2004 the band reunited once more and they are working on establishing a new powerful line-up.
