Band biography

Vile is an American brutal death metal band from the San Fransisco Bay area that formed in 1996 as local bands Thanatopsis, Entropy, Lords Of Chaos and Sporadic Psychosis dissolved. In 1996 and 1997 they released two demos and in November of 1997 they toured with Deeds Of Flesh. In 1999 their debut album "Stench Of The Deceased" was released. They headlined a U.S. tour to support that album. In 2002 “Depopulate” was released on Listenable and Unique Leader Records. Vile toured Europe in support of that album and will tour the U.S. in spring 2004. In August 2003 guitarist Aaron Strong left the band. Vocalist Urteaga left earlier the same year after the successful European tour. Vocalist James Lee of Origin also filled in for Juan for a California mini tour in July 2003. New members are being recruited at this point.
