War Party was a Los Angeles based metal band that formed around 1990 / 1991 and featured musicians from several well-known local bands at the time. They recorded 10-15 songs and toured up and down the West Coast. There were some label interested in the band but as the new wave of alternative music was rising it wasn't the best timing. When drummer Chuck left the band had more tour dates booked and had a hard time replacing him. This was the end of this short-lived band. A release was later on planned for O.P.M. Records but apparently nothing has happened yet. After War Party guitarist Jay Reynolds formed Planet X with vocalist Dave Anthony. In that band Jay played bass. Musically they were like industrial Queensrÿche on speed. 24 songs were written but none has been released. Once that band dissolved Jay went on to play with Jim Morrison's son doing a heavy metal Doors thing. He also did some industrial music in the Ministry / Nine Inch Nails vein. Ron Cordy had a tattoo and airbrush studio in Hollywood.
