Wayd was formed in 1994 when the thrash metal band Marion and death metal band Dysentery fused together. Both of the bands were known only in the regional underground scene but now they began spreading their music across borders. In 1995 they recorded their first demo tape "Shape Of Your Mind" in the AD Micro Studio in Prešov. The demo consisted of ten songs. Two years later they recorded "The Ultimate Passion" in the Exponent Studio which included both keyboards and female vocals. Later on they began incorporating jazz music into their death metal and a saxophone player joined the band.
