Wild Dogs was a heavy metal band from Portland, Oregon, that formed in 1982. A five song demo was quickly recorded which got them a spot on Mike Varney's second compilation album and also led to a 2 album deal with his label Shrapnel. The first show they played with Culprit from Seattle and Mike Varney's own band Cinema. Later on they got to play with Slayer, Metal Church, Myth (a band featuring Geoff Tate on vocals before he joined Queensr˙che), Shadow (featuring Mike McCready before the formation of Pearl Jam), Rail, Randy Hansen, Steeler (one of the first shows Yngwie did in the US), Dio, Girlschool, Laaz Rockit, TKO, Anthrax and Raven. They were even supposed to tour with Metallica on the "Ride The Lightning" tour but their truck was stolen in New York. The band broke up around 1987, reunited for a short time period in 1989 / 1990 and finally a more solid reunion occurred in 1998. Kyle Castronovo is actually Deen's son.
