Achaemenid from California was first created by Warharan in
2000. Searching for a vocalist Warharan turned to Antagonizer who he
had known from a local Deathgrind band. The demo, "As Night Sets on
Aryana" was recorded the Summer/Fall of 2001. After the demo was recorded,
Warharan met drummer Fyre. Fyre later assisted in improving the drum
programming of the demo. In the Winter of 2001, Warharan, Fyre and
Antagonizer recorded the single "Airyanem Vaejah" for a Heidens Hart
compilation. Since the compilation was later cancelled, "Airyanem Vaejah" became
an unlisted bonus track on the demo. In 2005, Arjan from The Dutch
Pagan Black Metal band, Cultus, has joined to do vocals on the upcoming
7in, "Taking Back What Was Mine". A session drummer for that release will
be anounced later.
Achaemenid was created not only to play brutal and aggressive Black
Metal but lyrically have a historic and informative theme. Fascinated by
Persopolis and the Persian Empire, one of the last great Aryan Empires.
Achaemenid have set out to help relive the glory.
