The Way of Purity return
2011-08-11
After less than one year following to the release of debut album "Crosscore", The Way Of Purity will record the awaited follow up during this summer. Tentative release schudule is set for December 2011 for Japan and January 2012 for Europe.
The band itself issued a statement:

"On July the 25th we will start recording our new album between Europe and USA.
Our second "chapter" will be titled "Equate" and will feature 11 new songs (2 bonus
tracks will be added on the Japanese version).
We truly believe that this very long and complex songwriting process has lead us to a new
vision of our music, due to both introduction of massive melodic parts and
claustrophobic explosions of violence and darkness.
The extreme mix of DoomCore and New Wave is the key to understand "EQUATE" and
everyone not looking far will fail. Depressive moods are
created to succumb in front of the violence of reaction: every song structure is meant
to have this further signification.
A big work has been done on lyrics too and our message is becoming even more
effective day by day. Number "11" in the cover artwork represents 1 against 1 so animal against human, the album is titled EQUATE. The Anti-Human symbols come from a long study and have been trasmitted to us by the powers of nature.
We will not issue any further press release until the album will be ready since song
titles, artwork, release dates, cooperations will be revealed directly with the first
song preview around october. A studio diary will be updated on our facebook and youtube pages.
Subconsciously you may equate ... Become fearless"

The band will be on tour in UK from October the 15th to October the 31st.

Evile dedicate new track to Bloodstock
2011-08-11
British thrashers EVILE are preparing for the release of their new album, FIVE SERPENT'S TEETH, and have dedicated one of the new songs to the UK's Bloodstock festival.

Fans attending the festival next weekend will be among the first people to hear the brand new track, titled "Centurion", as it will be played through the PA system between bands on the main stage throughout the festival.

EVILE frontman MATT DRAKE spoke to Bloodstock to explain the meaning behind the new track and why it was dedicated to the UK's favourite all-metal festival.

Hellish Outcast sign with Transcend Music
2011-08-11
Norwegian death/thrash ensemble HELLISH OUTCAST are pleased to announce that they have signed to UK label Transcend Music.

"I must say it's an honour to finally be able to spread our wings with this beast!" says Mads Lilletvedt of the signing. As a result, their new album YOUR GOD WILL BLEED will be released later this year.

YGWB artworkYOUR GOD WILL BLEED is the next installment from Bergen's own; looming menacingly ahead, the sheer brutality, aggression and expansive approach to music displayed by the band on this release is perhaps only matched by a handful of fellow countrymen such as Blood Red Throne and Grimfist.

"Musically, we've stayed true to our nature for ten years - always trying to push the limits of what is healthy aggression. To combine pure Norwegian brutality with the fine British steel of Transcend Music is a venture we've been looking forward to!" Mads continues.

Transcend Music head honcho Rob Ferguson said: "it's great to welcome Hellish Outcast to our roster and they represent our most brutal signing to date adding significant strength and depth to the label as we continue to grow. Can't wait to see them lay waste to Bloodstock following which we will light the pyre under this explosive release!"

Said release, YOUR GOD WILL BLEED, follows in the lyrical footsteps of their debut EP 'Raping - Killing - Murder' which launched an attack on modern warfare, politics and religious martyrdom. However, this time round, the aggression - the passion and frustration - will take you right to the edge, and right when it reaches the point of cataclysm, that is what HELLISH OUTCAST have captured. YOUR GOD WILL BLEED will take you on an exploration of the world as it is today. The sight is not pretty. In fact, it’s disgusting. But the sound is breathtaking.

Hellish Outcast was first introduced as one of the underground’s unsigned rising stars, via the Terrorizer Fear Candy CD March '09 but this year, Hellish Outcast kick off a new phase, ten times stronger and with an album that will rip your face clean off with its sheer aggression and unique sound.

And they've already attracted media attention and secured themselves a slot performing at this years Blooodstock Festival, right here in the UK: "It's an honour to bring this monster of a band to Bloodstock, and I know its gonna be a killer crowd as always in the UK. Hellish Outcast will for sure show a new and fresh side of the Norwegian music scene!

"...Your ears will bleed" promises vocalist and frontman Thebon.

Line-up:
Thebon - vocals (Keep of Kalessin)
Alkolust - drums (BYFROST)
Max Morbid - bass (BREED)
Martin Legreid - guitars (66 Crusher).

Behemoth finish new video
2011-08-11
Behemoth and Grupa 13's latest creative vision will be for the song, Lucifer. The song is the final track on Evangelion and clocks in at over eight minutes long and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue. The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk. The video is currently being edited and will see a worldwide premiere in September. Behemoth set the bar high with their last video, which was also a Grupa 13 collaboration, Alas, Lord is Upon Me.

Behemoth front man, Nergal, comments: "We have teamed up with Grupa 13 again to shoot this amazing video…I must honestly say it was very refreshing cooperation. Darek is probably one of the most creative people I’ve met in this business and I love working with him. Every time we force ourselves to come up with even crazier ideas…This time we really made it very artistic and… still VERY disturbing. There's plenty of metaphors and symbolism in this video…the story is even more diverse, fucked up and out of control. I’m still digesting it… the video is being edited as we write these words…Stay tuned!"

Grupa 13's Dariusz Szermanowicz adds, "'Lucifer' is a song that completes the visual concept of the “Evangelion" album. The evolution of the script was long and stormy, but in the end it surprised us with lots of last minute changes and new energy in the ideas! This time we've shot it in a studio environment, with minimum set design. We've prepared over a dozen episodes and strong scenes filled with emotions. There's still more than a month of editing and post-production ahead of us. We wouldn't like to disclose the plot now; I can only say that this clip will be different from the previous ones. However, some elements, symbols and atmosphere continue the stories which have been told in the previous music videos."

Mushroomhead frontman signs solo deal
2011-08-11
Jeffrey Nothing, the haunting voice behind Cleveland's pioneering alterna-metal collective Mushroomhead, has signed with Suburban Noize Records. Nothing will release his debut solo album, “Nothing - The New Psychodalia”, through the label on October 11th, 2011.

"The whole album is about escaping reality. People choose a variety of ways to feel better in the face of the depression that can be caused by trying to survive in a world that can seem completely uncaring and smothering,” commented Nothing about the album. “‘The New Psychodalia’ is like a new safe hallucinogenic that makes all the ugliness in the world beautiful, with no harmful side effects. The entire album is kind of like a twisted, thought provoking view of the truths. It exposes the lies of the American dream that has really become more of a nightmare."

Jeffrey Nothing is ready to open the door and reveal the skeletons buried beneath the floor boards with the release of his solo album, “Nothing - The New Psychodalia”. Mixing hypnotic rhythmic grooves and punishing riffs, along with Jeffrey Nothing's beautifully deranged lyrics, “Nothing - The New Psychodalia” is a tormented soundscape that shakes listeners to the core. The album was produced by Mushroomhead drummer Steve "Skinny" Felton.
