Unbelief part with vocalist
2011-08-05
Today our lead singer Martin Nørlev announced his exit from Unbelief. The decision has been some time underway so it wasn’t that much of a shock to the rest of the band. We talked in peace and quiet about his decision, and let’s stress there’s no bad blood.

Martin states:
“For some time I’ve given much thought to my role in the band and the band’s role in my life, and I’ve decided that I’m not properly motivated to continue on this journey. The ride has been one hell of a blast but it’s time for me to move on with other projects in my life. When I look back at all the milestones we’ve passed as a band, I feel almost blessed to have had such great experiences. For that I wish to thank present and past members of the band, our fans, our crew, the bands we’ve played with, all personnel, our friends and family, and all those in between. Thanks for the ride!”

Martin was one of the founding members of Unbelief and has been with the band for 4½ years now. This is the end of an era for the band, but Unbelief will continue. Just don’t expect to hear what you already know.

Havok announce North American tour
2011-08-05
Denver thrash warriors, HAVOK, who recently pummeled the masses on tour with Bay Area legends, Forbidden, will embark on another punishing support trek this Fall alongside headliners Exhumed, Goatwhore and Cephalic Carnage. Set to commence on October 26 in New Mexico, the tour will lay waste to nearly two dozen cities and come to a close in Flagstaff, Arizona on November 20.

Said vocalist/guitarist David Sanchez: "I'm fuckin' psyched! This lineup is HEAVY! I'm a fan of all of the bands that we'll be playing with, so this is gonna be really fun. Even better, we finally get to tour with Cephalic Carnage. It will be cool to show people how bands from Denver throw down. If this tour is anything like our last run with Forbidden, there are going to be some gnarly pits and bloody noses. Anyone that's going to these shows should be prepared to have a sore neck."

Added drummer Pete Webber: "We are pumped to announce our tour with Exhumed, Goatwhore and Cephalic Carnage this Fall! Our last tour with Forbidden was one of the best yet and we hope to keep the heat going with this one! We will be hitting some cities where HAVOK has not played in awhile and you all better show your metal faces there!"

2011-07-21
Dark death advanced metal kings NOCTIFERIA are celebrating this massive European tour with our friends IN FLAMES accross Europe !. This is the first time such a big tour happens in the life of a Slovenian band. The band 's latest labum 'death culture' has received a roaring response from medias worldwide !

Since 1994, from the beginning of the Ljubljana underground NOCTIFERIA has been spreading its unique style of the Slovenian Extreme Metal Movement.

The founding members, Igor Nardin (guitars) and Uroš Lipovec (bass), started recording demos and soon they recorded their debut album in 1997 “Baptism At Savica Fall” for the promotion of which they shared stages with Enslaved, Cannibal Corpse, Absu, Rotting Christ, Deicide, Dark Funeral, Marduk… In 2002, after the more extreme second studio album “Per Aspera”, the Slovenian heroes embarked on their first European Tours with Marduk, Kataklysm and Immolation. NOCTIFERIA started, then, working on its third album “Slovenska Morbida”. The album was promoted with several tours with Hypocrisy, Cradle of Filth and Pain, and appearances at the Metalcamp's main stage, the band has also opened for In Flames and performed a south-Eastern European tour with Samael and Keep of Kalessin.

In beginning of 2009 NOCTIFERIA entered the studio to record its fourth album. The result, mixed by Peter Tagtgren and Jonas Kjellgren is the masterpiece of NOCTIFERIA : “Death Culture”.

This is technical extreme death black, This is NOCTIFERIA, bringing something fresh, a style that is uniquely theirs. The cooperation Noctiferia / Peter Tagtgren / Jonas Kjellgren turned out as the best combination and its result- “Death Culture“ speaks for itself

Abigail Williams completing new album
2011-07-21
ABIGAIL WILLIAMS has nearly completed the writing phase on material that is planned for the band’s new album, expected for release in early 2012. Feverishly working since their return from their most recent European tour, the band is looking forward to testing out some of the new songs later next month when they return to stateside venues for a string of dates that is set to begin August 25 in Las Vegas and conclude when the band performs alongside Morbid Angel in Los Angeles on September 23.

The band’s European tour was their first since 2009. The tour took ABIGAIL WILLIAMS through twelve countries in a quick 21 days. Band leader Sorceron notes, "The shows were excellent. We had a great time with our friends in Iskald and Thulcandra and hope we can join them again in the future. A big thanks to everyone who came out to the shows; we really appreciate your support. The upcoming dates have us headlining in the west including the Rocky Mountain Goat Roast; we are co-headlining the fest with Misery Index. The Scottsdale show has us sharing the stage once more with ex-hometown friends Vehemence and Landmine Marathon. And what more can I say about playing with Morbid Angel other than how awesome it will be to finally share the stage with a band we grew up listening to?"

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS’ still untitled third album is set to be recorded in September. Sorceron says, "the new material is a continuation of our last album but with more atmosphere and far more extreme tempos. We are adding back some of the symphonic elements that were on In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns album but without sacrificing any of the edge that was on In the Absence of Light. So far we are really happy with everything."

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS confirmed headlining dates:

8/25/2011 Yayo’s - Las Vegas, NV
8/26/2011 Chaser’s - Scottsdale, AZ
8/27/2011 Goat Roast Fest - Greeley, CO

8/30/2011 105 Pioneer - Santa Cruz, CA

The Bay Area's devastating duo BLACK COBRA have completed the recording process of their upcoming fourth full-length album, set for release in the Autumn months ahead.

For the recording of this, the band's second release for Southern Lord Recordings, BLACK COBRA recently ventured across the continent to pound out their anticipated new album, the follow-up to 2009's massively well-received Chronomega. This time around the outfit enlisted the talents of Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou and his God City Studio in Salem, Massachusetts for the first time. After a brutal week-and-a-half in the notorious lair, 'COBRA hammered out what will soon be known to the world as their almighty fourth full-length album, the album title now confirmed as Invernal. A full track listing, album art and other specific details will be announced in the shortly, but from an advance listen to the unmastered output of this savage outfit, we are confident in confirming that this is BLACK COBRA's most honed and diversified material to date, and will definitely tear your face off completely.

While BLACK COBRA's full-on tour cycle for Invernal has not yet began, as it undoubtedly will very shortly, the band have in the meantime been confirmed for several shows over the coming weeks, including an appearance at The Power Of The Riff Festival in Los Angeles on August 18 alongside Eyehategod, Pentagram, Winter, Pelican and more, a direct support spot for High On Fire in Oakland on August 27, an appearance at MusicFest Northwest festival in Portland and more. A rigorous amount of touring will continually be announced through the rest of 2011.
