For the past 14 years, TOTIMOSHI -- core members, guitarist/vocalist Antonio Aguilar and bassist/vocalist Meg Castellanos -- have been pounding out its own brand of acid induced rhythmic Hendrix-meets-Dick Dale rock. Born in the high desert of Southern California just 30 minutes from the hometown of Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart Aguilar, the band's principle songwriter, definitely shares said composers love for adventure in music. Joined by drummer Chris Fugitt in 2008, the trio have carved out a sound all their own.
Countless reviewers have tried unsuccessfully to pigeonhole the band as it's easier to say "they sound like" or "it's reminiscent of" than it is to listen, comprehend and articulate. "Genres aren't for us," said Aguilar, "because we sound like no one else, never wanted too. I made up my own tuning. I basically had to re-learn how to play guitar. It sets us apart though, all that effort. No one plays like me."
Founded in Oakland, CA in 1997 by Aguilar and Meg Castellanos (bass, vocals), TOTIMOSHI went through a slew of drummers before joining visions with Kansas City's Chris Fugitt. Fugitt, a ferocious drummer who's part John Bonham, part Keith Moon, part Elvin Jones, further ignited this volcanic trio into what it is today. Their albums are a journey into the soul. Their live sets are pure energy slowly smoldering into combustion. Past releases Mysterioso?, Monolí, Ladrón, and Milagrosa have received countless rave reviews and new album, Avenger, will no doubt satisfy fans and critics alike once again.

|Amenra sign with Neurot Recordings||
It is with great honor for Neurot Recordings to announce the label's official signing of Belgian sorcerers AMENRA.
A perfect fit to Neurot's already organically soulful and cerebrally crushing roster, AMENRA's newly completed fourth full-length album, Mass V, will be released in the coming months, with a confirmed street date and more details to be brought forth shortly.
AMENRA have pulverized audiences abroad since the turn of the 21st century via an arsenal of split and mini-releases, as well as three full-length albums to date. They have proven themselves in the live setting as well, having toured with the likes of Neurosis, Converge, Pelican, Starkweather, Battlefields and countless others, and via notable performances at massive festivals including Roadburn, Eurosonic and more.
Stated AMENRA in a collective statement about signing with Neurot: "Since day one, and for a decade now, we found ourselves in a cold and lonely place. Until our paths crossed with the Neurot family. A warm embrace. We believe now we have found a place we can call our own, and with great pride. We sincerely see this as the opportunity for us to prove to the world that our being here on Earth, In time, will not go unnoticed, but will be well spent. Mass V. We will make it mean something, always and everywhere."
Neurot Recordings founder and Neurosis guitarist/vocalist Steve Von Till also made an official statement on the label's choice to bring AMENRA into the Neurot family. "For us in Neurosis and Neurot Recordings life has always been a quest searching for something deeper, something more meaningful, something that moves one to feel something real in a world full of soul killing triviality. AMENRA is deep, and real, and moving, and incredibly inspiring. Their family is dedicated and like minded in a way that we relate to completely. Kindred spirits. Their musical and visual aesthetic is pure and runs through everything they do, their music, their words, their graphics, their visuals, and print media. That unspoken spiritual core that we seek, weaves throughout their being. It is with great honor that we welcome them to our home, and to our label. There are few in our tribe in this world, and we are definitely stronger when we are together. I am eagerly awaiting the sonically induced spirit quest that will be Mass V at the Church of Ra."
In related news, AMENRA will be supporting Neurosis once again on several live dates in Germany, Austria and France over the coming week, for the first time with the two artists now as official labelmates. Stated the band on the upcoming performances: "Our second tour with Neurosis. A restless heart. An unpredictable force of nature. Neurosis broke down walls and used those stones to build a path that now AMENRA is able to walk. Without them we might not even have existed at all. Who knows. The recognition we get might be more substantial to us than breath, a light that fills the dark chambers of our hearts, until it will be gone. I expect and wish the shows to be out of this vvorld. We will try and guide the sparks, stoking and tending the flames, where Neurosis will set the bonfire alight. And each night, together, we will build that pyre. It will always be a godsgift and honour. for us to share stages with them. And travel with them, in silence. In everything we give thanks."

|Cerebral Bore members arrested||
Two members of Scottish death metal act CEREBRAL BORE were mistakenly arrested in New York City recently amidst the hunt for a man who murdered a number of people at a drug store.
The band had been out celebrating the end of their tour when guitarist PAUL MCGUIRE and bassist KYLE RUTHERFORD went to a drug store in the early morning hours. Although the store's doors were open and the lights were on, it appeared that it was not officially open for business as an alarm went off, so the band members left and went to another store down the road. As they were leaving, a number of NYPD squad cars surrounded them and they were thrown to the ground by police officers and arrested at gunpoint. The two were charged with criminal trespass, petit larceny, burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
MCGUIRE and RUTHERFORD spent the next 36 hours being moved between crowded jail cells and witnessing violence and intimidation from the other inmates. The real drug store killer was later arrested and, following a court appearance, all charges were dropped and the members of CEREBRAL BORE were eventually released.

|Almah reveal new album title||
ALMAH has confirmed the title of its upcoming third album, the follow-up to the previous success “Fragile Equality”, as “Motion”. The cover artwork is now available.
Furthermore, frontman Edu Falaschi issued the following comment:
“The cover has been created by myself with my own iPhone. I took a picture in Paris and used some applications to create that motion effect. Then Felipe used my picture and re-created this artwork in high resolution using Photoshop and completed it with new elements. This time we wanted something modern and direct to represent our music and we are totally sure that we got the result we really wanted since the very beginning. This CD will show the real Almah's language and personality! Stay tuned for further news!”
At the moment the band is finishing the recording of the new CD at Norcal Studios (São Paulo, Brazil). Motion is to be released this fall via AFM Records. The album is produced by Edu Falaschi and Felipe Andreoli.

I expect the "Bang Your Head" to be both the ending and the highlight of ACCEPT's exciting comeback. Neither one of us - or the people who helped us - expected ACCEPT to be welcomed by the fans in this way. |Anvil confirmed for Keep It True||
we are extremely happy that we can announce the next band for KEEP IT TRUE 2012. We are able to confirm that canadian legends ANVIL will co-headline KEEP IT TRUE 2012.
Finally we could get Lips and the boys for the big KIT again after they were totally killer on the warm up show some years ago. Without bands like ANVIL a festival like KIT would never had happened, cause the true metal attitude of Lips and the undying spirit to fight for his music without changing for commercial reasons were a huge inspiration for us to do KIT. So we are really glad we have them back to do a killer performance again. „Metal On Metal....its the only way“.
Also we can confirm US thrashers FUELED BY FIRE for KIT 2012, who have released one of the bestthrash album in years and also did a killer set on KIT X some years ago….
We hope we can finally announce the long anticipated Saturday headliner and the next co-headliner for KIT 2012 very soon. If everything works out it can be a real sensation, so keep your fingers crossed.

|Manowar to headline Getaway Rock next year||
Late Friday night, MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio appeared onstage at this year’s Getaway Rock Festival in Gävle, Sweden and announced that MANOWAR, the “Kings Of Metal”, will perform as next year’s festival headliners.
This will be the fulfillment of MANOWAR’s promise to return in triumph to the Swedish festival scene after 12 years.
“The Swedish fans have won; their belief, shown by their non acceptance of false metal is the reason we will finally return.” said DeMaio after the announcement. “There was no compromise in their voices, nor in our resolve; we promised each other that it’s all or nothing. It is no secret that there was a war between promoters as to who would bring Manowar back to Sweden and finally give the fans what they want and Getaway won.”
“This is a major step for us and naturally we are honored that we could secure MANOWAR as headliners for Getaway Rock Festival 2012.” said festival organizer Tomas Gernberg. “MANOWAR have a strong and loyal following in Sweden, Scandinavia and all over the world. We are proud to be the ones to bring the band back to Sweden.”
“We played our last festival in Sweden in 1999 and we promised we would not return until we could give our fans what they deserve and next year that promise will be fulfilled. We vow to crack the earth with power and might,” said Joey DeMaio.
“This will be a show which no true metal warrior will want to miss. We are calling all Manowarriors not only from Scandinavia, but from all over the world to join us for earth-shattering, face-melting metal.” continued DeMaio.
“The voice of the fans in Sweden has been heard, many other countries will also take heed and their voice too will be the reason MANOWAR will appear in their country next” said DeMaio. “There will be more news and surprises to be announced!” promised DeMaio and added: “Check out our Facebook page
www.facebook.com/manowar for constant updates!”
