US-hopefuls BLESSED CURSE (Ex-DEVASTATOR) from Colfax/California will blow your heads with razor-sharp, heavy-hitting in-your-face-Thrash the way it was meant to be!!! We signed a licensing deal with the band and their management Salem Rose Music (e.g. WARBRINGER, HEXEN, etc.) for the worldwide market, excluding North-America!

Here´s a statement of the band:

“This year we are celebrating 10 years as a band since we first formed at the young age of 14 in a garage. This is definitely a new and exciting time for our band and we have a lot of news to report.

We will now be known as BLESSED CURSE. At this point we’ve decided to change our name due to the ever-increasing number of bands deciding to use the name Devastator, and ".....tor" bands in general, that have been springing up these days so we’ve concluded that it is best for our band to stand out from the pack as much as possible, apart from our music alone, by changing our name from Devastator to BLESSED CURSE. This new name fits our band to the letter because of our extensive history of being a band from an area where there is not much of anything for a music scene and having to travel to build any kind of fanbase, life on the road, all the ups and downs and in betweens of being in a metal band. Also, about a year ago we were fortunate to meet a local fan of our band for many years named Clark Webb, who is now wielding rhythm guitar with us, making our band officially no longer a trio and making us an even more powerful force to be reckoned with in the metal music world.

We are currently recording our debut full-length album and are extremely proud of how it is coming along. We are back at Trident Studios working with producer Juan Urteaga (Exodus, Sadus, Testament, Heathen), who also did our 2009 EP Burn the Beast, so it is awesome to be working together again. The drums have turned out even better than we could have hoped for and the guitar tracks are heavy enough to cause an earthquake. Prepare for maximum reaction headbanging as we look forward to crushing the cities of Earth with our new tunes and spreading the Blessed Curse!

As of January 2011 we are really happy to have inked a licensing deal with the German label Cyclone Empire, home to cool bands such as Evocation, Paganizer, Demonical, Fragments of Unbecoming and so on.”

The (still untitled) debut album of BLESSED CURSE is scheduled for a release by early summer!!!
