The activity of the Essenza starts in 1993 to continue uninterrupted till today.
The band's first stable line-up consisted of three brothers Rizzello: Alessandro (bass), Carlo (Voice, guitar), Luca (drums).
In the following years, a lot of radio and televisions (local and national) focused on the band, as well as major magazines (Chitarre, Hard Rock IT Fireworks UK).
Their music, that was a compromise between hard rock, melodic rock, heavy metal and the seventies sound, met with the first work "Essenza" (1996) and later with "Algoritmo60" (1998), very good reviews from the experts .
"Suggestioni" (2000) collected the final version of the songs contained in the first two demo.
“Contrasto” is the studio album of 2002, a clearly-heavy rock and melodic inspiration.
In November 2004, drummer Paul Colazzo replacing in the band.
In 2006 the band distributes "XIII Anniversary Live", a live recording of a concert in Bari .
In 2007 the band released the EP "Dance of liars" veering towards a style heavy metal with thrash grain, leaving Italian to English.
Essenza sign with Red cat Promotion on October of this year to promote their latest CD, "Devil's Breath", published by the independent label BIGMUD Records , in which the band consolidates heavy style of the
