The waiting finally comes to an end! Six years after "The Devil's Steed" and nearly twelve months after the album's harbinger "The Bad Luck Bird," the 10th of June is going to see a new album by Neofolk's founding fathers Sol Invictus, "The Cruellest Month." On their full-length debut for Auerbach Tonträger, the musicians around Tony Wakeford and Andrew King deploy all their skills and present an angular, combative, and painful album, one of a kind you haven't heard from Sol Invictus in a long time.
Today, we proudly present Tor Lundvall's cover painting for "The Cruellest Month" (see below) and the album's tracklist:
01. Raining in April
02. To Kill all Kings
03. The Sailor's Aria
04. Fools' Ship
05. Toys
06. Edward
07. The Bad Luck Bird
08. April Rain
09. Cruel Lincoln
10. Something's Coming
11. Stella Maris
12. The Cruellest Month
