6Shots is a Swedish rock band that formed in the year 2000. They are from Malmö which is in the south of the country and according to themselves the rock capital of Sweden, something I would definitely like to disagree with. Anyway, since the formation these guys (and girl) have been playing at most of the big clubs in the south of Sweden and they were the house band at the fetish club "Da Klub" in Helsingborg until it was closed down because of bomb threats (oh sweet south...). A little bit of Ramones, some Aerosmith and one or two slices of Guns 'n Roses can be found in the 6Shots sound. This is straight-forward good old sleazy rock 'n roll with no strange hooks or turns. Very much suited for a party but other than that 6Shots doesn't have too much to offer on a disc like this. It is well played and they have managed to come up with real songs that do not sound the same, something that I appreciate. However, there is nothing on this disc that make them sound like 6Shots, meaning that they have not found something to call their own quite yet. It may or may not happen but meanwhile this is a good album to have at a party. For practical reasons the band recently changed the spelling of their name to Sixshots.
